So this is a local restaurant in San Diego and The owners are stil working on some content but its done on my end...Let me know if you have any thoughts or suggestions for improvement.

      www.greekcountrykabob.com

      Template Used: pancaea
joomla 1.5(I know its old version, feel more comfortable and all my modules are for that version)
used various modules for tcontent, mostly NoNumber ones, And Breezing Forms for the form component, and a little bit of k2,

Thanks again and have a great day or night!

    • Nice site...only one thing where i would try to find a sollution for is the contact form in the footer.

Because it is to large it streches your footer and i think that fucks up the rest of your site a little. So maybe place it somewhere at the right of your content or somewhere else.

The rest of the site i think is nice. Great job

    • Hi,
I would agree that the footer is way too big, it looks a mess and shouldnt have a form in it.
I would replace that with a map image of your location that links to the contact us page.
I would also add a map to the contact us page too as it looks too bland and plain.

The forms are ok but i would take a look at fabrikar instead, much more versitile and much nicer to work with.

The coupons look ok but i would make them link to a PDF file that can be downloaded that contains the coupons, this will be much better than trying to explain the hidden print button.
(also the sentence explaining where the print button needs revising/grammar checking)

As much as i like K2 i dont think its right to use it for the menu, and i dont think comments will help you much either... i would consider different options for displaying the menu, and the fact the images take you away from the site to show the larger pic is never good.

Your Yelp reviews on the right side panel fade in so quick you cant read them! This needs slowing down to around 15 seconds.

I would consider using fabrikar forms for the reviews submission, this will allow you to have selectors for how much they like/dislike your food/service/staff etc... and will allow a more specific review, also i would have the reviews emailed to yourself and then approved or added manually, letting the public post directly is very dangerous for business, you want to be honest but it only takes spammers/your local competition to start posting bad feedback and it could ruin you!

Your 'Our Awards' section has a button for 'learn more' which doesnt go anywhere... remove it!

Yelp menu item is in a wrapper... why isnt the google places link in a wrapper too?

Your gallery page is also not good, it takes you away from the site to show you the image, RokBox would have been better, personally i think you should use the new RokGallery extension, it would be much clearer and cleaner than what you currently have, and more comments...ahhhhhh!

Your titles on the homepage show the author details and posting date, not needed! Remove them, it will make the site look out of date in the future.

Try adding a sitemap too, loads of good maps about on the joomla extensions directory now, google likes site maps and most of them are easy to install and automatic when running :) also xmap for joomla supports K2 articles aswel ;)

Its a good start but needs cleaning up, the menu needs to be cleaner and clearer with more images, most of the food makes no sense to me, but pictures of fresh hot greek food will make my mouth water and get me ordering...

Make use of some of the google map extensions, people like interactivity.

Oh and... get rid of the comments boxes off every page!!

    • Very nice and clean. I like the colors. One thing I would say is to slow down the "What Your Neighbors Said" area, it moves too fast for me to read.

      Good work!
