Shrink the footer it's just a little bit too tall and dominates the page.
I would remove the stuff in your intro about 'just starting out' if you hope to get more than a trickle of customers.
Would you go to any business that said 'We don't have the most experience in the world but we hope to grow along with you, our customers.'
That says to me - I want you to pay me to learn my business while doing your site. I wouldn't want to pay someone to learn their own business. They shouldn't be in business if they don't know what they are doing.
Remove it and you instantly gain a huge jump in credibility.
Get some confidence man! Not many people would be hacking up modules so early in their careers.

i have to echo daniel's comments.
in my case... my website still has an empty portfolio page. i've done a whole boatload of sites, but have been too busy to add any of them to my portfolio - the proverbial mechanic who neglects his own car.
i notice that this same portfolio page has the highest bounce rate of any of my pages... they come to see my work ... there's nothing to see, they leave.
you have to market yourself as knowing your business. market yourself as the best in your business. how you project yourself is key to being a success. if you have a bit of trouble finding those first clients, instead of just building GPL templates... build a site or two pro-bono for local charities, AND THEN release those same templates GPL.
- you'll have something to put in a portfolio
- you'll be able to say you do pro-bono work for so and so charities (works great for marketing)
- you'll have new themes to release GPL
- you'll get a few click-throughs from your credit link at the bottom of those charity sites.
- you'll get the warm fuzzy feeling we all love so much.
i also think you should stick the word "raven" into your logo
EDIT: forgot what caught my eye... absolutely love the vert. kwik slider menu.. thanks so much for giving your modification back to the community
