Custom Development: I pretty much replaced every image file and messed with the css a lot. I also repositioned the main body of the page so I could add graphics and banners to the right side of the screen.
Additional Comments:
Thanks to the sporticus template, I was able to make a great site for my college hockey team... I have made a lot of changes to the original sporticus template, but I couldn't have done it without Sporticus as a base ! thanks rockttheme!

hmm ya a little too much grey... but I can't think of another color that could fit on one of those sidebars. My color scheme is pretty much black/silver and red... I'm afraid if I use another color it will look totally out of place... possibly I could try lighter red for one of the columns (like a white/red gradient instead of black/red gradient)? So then...
Main column modules : dark red
2nd column modules: Light red
3rd column modules: Silver
...or something like that...

Maybe a black on one of the far right mods too.
Polls mod <--- Dont be afraid to throw in something in - a complimentary color that is not part of the "Color Scheme" I don't know - yellow, or green, maybe a something. Like one of the ads I have on the front page of the site below - has blue in it intentionally - the color scheme is black (charcoal) and orange.
The best way is to just play with it....the above are suggestions to break things up, but really the different colored highlights should be because you want to emphasize something. Plus, it is easier on the eyes when things are broken up, especially when you have a lot of info like you do.
These are just suggestions...I still think your site rocks - it has a true finished look to it -- I have been to way to many sites that look like they are in progress or could use improvement, or have something just a little off or even worse lots of great stuff but shooting in to many directions so, the different looks crash with each other as a whole or they have a cool module that just makes the rest of the site look amateur - Oh Wait - I just described some of my sites

cool, thanks! Ill try and play around with some different colors.
What do other people think about the colors of the modules? any other opinions? good the way it is, or should it more colored up?
Do you guys find it sort of overwhelming with content with all of the modules the same colors?
