I'm a newbie to web development and this is my second version of this site (
www.savagefighter.com
). It seems to be going good except that no one told me how much tweaking is involved in making a website. I keep thinking of new ways to change things and stuff to add.
Let me know what you think and if there is anything you think I should change (BTW I am working on making the logo more prominent)

Looks good but I would mix and match highlights in your two columns. -- You have one big blend all together grey column and a big blend all together dark grey column. (its easy to play with those - just use the template highlite features in the different modules to test it out)

It looks great! Sporticus has a special place in my heart, since I used it for a national dog club website I did. It is a fun template, and perfect for your site.

I love it. Seriously I opened her up in another tab, clicked, and was smacked in the face with some of the greatest content graphics I have ever seen on a joomla site.
As your just beginning, I'll just add a few tips or suggestions:
The middle coulomb with the news would look nicer as a different color. Also might want to look into what is going on with the drop down for 'images', as it appears to be a little out of sync with the other drop downs.
Have to go to work now so I'll wrap up, as I tell everyone, the favicon makes a big dif to a site, the two golden links for this are: http://www.howtojoomla.net/content/view/65/2/ and http://www.favicon.cc/
Awesome site, great conent, and modding a template is a LOT of work.

- Thank you all for your positive comments and suggestions. I can't wait to get going with my next mma website. I plan to create one that addresses alot of the issues surrounding mma. I will of course continue to work on the savagefighter site.
