    Consulting site using Diametric

Posted 12 years 1 month ago
    • Prometheus Web Solutions provides online marketing, web design and revenue strategy for small businesses, solo practitioners and startups.

This site was built using Joomla 2.5, the Diametric Rockettheme template, and a few extensions to improve presentation: the RSMonials component, the Fox Contact component, and the Art Sexy Lightbox module (on the portfolio page).

I'd welcome any input on improving the visual appeal of the site.

      Best Regards,

      Andrew

    • Nice site. I didn't think the logo spot would auto-size to fit the logo, is that the case or did you have to do some backend work to make it enlarge?

Thanks. I edited the logo.png file in Fireworks to expand the width, add the border and add my text. Then with the logo in the navigation-a module position and the menu in the navigation-b module position, I just changed the template layout for the navigation positions to 3|9 to create a best-fit.

    • Personally I dislike the your cut-off photo on the frontpage ... that image is just flying around.
That looks quite unprofessional to me.
The font of your claim "Let me bring your business to life online!" is just horrible.
When you want to look it written by "hand" ... write it ... scan it.
Your footer looks cut off on small pages/llarge screens. I would do something about it.

Positive: Very nice integration of the logo, nice colors, the overall impression is "valuable".

    • One thing I forgot: the gradient :hover on the button doesn't look right (at least on my Mac).

    • Hi Henning,

I appreciate your feedback. Would you have any suggestions for how I can *improve* the image on the page to make it look better integrated? (I don't have a better one to replace it with at the moment)

      Thank you,

      Andrew
