    • Website URL:
      galaxycon.fedconevents.com (multilanguage)

Additional Extensions (Components, Modules, Plug ins):
K2, RokSprocket, Gantry (of course), and all kind of RocketTheme Extensions (still loving them :cheesy: )...

      Other Features:
For the Ticket Shop i use again ECWID. With RokEcwid it is just simple to include into every website.

      Additional Comments:
I am working for a company which organizes a lot of conventions in germany. In the meantime we have so many actors asking for joining one of our cons, that we decided to make a second SciFi Con next year.

The background artwork is from Paul Tobin, who is working at WETA Productions. They are rensponsible for some kind of stuff on all the movies from THE LORD OF THE RINGS...

So thanks for all your critics and comments for this new site...

      cheers,
      Rafael

    • Another great job. I liked the Hobbitcon site and I also like this one. I hate this template and you made it look nice and clean. One thing I noticed is the Facebook side column on the homepage is not the proper size. I like your work very much so far. Keep it up and enjoy your weekend.

    • Hey Ronnie... thank you so much...

Yeah, i understand. i didn't like this template either, but i thought: "Hey that's a Rockettheme Template - so i can fit it to something!" And i did...

Thank for the advice with the Facebook Fan-Box. I realized, that suddenly i have the same problem on all my sites. That means facebook did change something i didn't know... *$%/!ยง&*

I'll ry to find it out and fix it...

      Have a nice time... :-)

    • Maybe hate is a strong word LOL, it's not one of my favorites. Although it's probably more me than the template if you know what I am saying. I'm not a big fan of sites without mainbody containers, I know I could modify this one up so it would be what I needed. I have to renew and play with some of them I suppose.

Facebook module looks nice now AND I am not sure of FB did anything or not but two of my sites now have problems with the module I am using for it.

Have a good Holiday and good job on this one too. You get some fun projects :D

    • I think the site looks great! A good example of what this template can do.

But...I only have a 2Mb connection here at work, first time loading the front page took about 20 - 25 seconds  a total of 6.14 MB.... gtmetrix.com/reports/www.galaxycon.de/tGGX4l6e

You also have a menu that doesn't work like I expect. When I see a menu item I want to click it...but some of them are just placeholders so clicking does nothing? that is confusing for users.

    • Nice job.

There is a slight jump on the home page when the scroller moves along. It is caused by the amount of text in the left box. If you measure your text so that all are the same, or at least the same line quantity, you will eliminate this problem.

I'd also suggest that you edit the Home item in your Main Menu (Page Display Options > Browser Page Title) to add the name of your site so that displays when people visit the site instead of just seeing "Home" in their browser tab.

    • Hi,

Your website looks great on Android! did you do some customizations apart from the theme default settings?

      Thank you in advance!

      Thanks Florin,

that's funny. i don't know, how it looks like on Android - cause i don't have the possibility... :-)
And yeah, i did alot of customization on the template... but most of them are css... and this is pretty easy, when you work with the custom.css...

      Cheers,

    • Really cool background :)

The only thing i would change is to make the background responsive :)

    • Another little thing is to change the page header from "Home". To do that, in the Main Menu for "Home", click on the Page Display Options and type the site name in the Browser Page Title box. (you can leave the Show Page Heading to No.).
