Artends.com using Hexeris 2.5

    • Artends.com is my first attempt a creating a Joomla Website on my own beginning last summer. It uses the Hexeris 2.5 template from Rockettheme which comes with Gantry. It uses the RokGallery component for its initial picture slices and where it needs additional pictures I try to use articles. I recently added Xmap for the sitemap in my attempt to get a higher SEO. Lately, some of the modules come up on the wrong pages but I do not understand the instructions which is frustrating for a newbie and many "experts". Take a look and let me know if some things are seriously wrong. Of course if you want to buy an item or two, I give special discounts to those who help me as I travel this new road... Thanks in advance!!

    • Does the issue resolve itself when you disable XMap? Far far worse to have an unusable site SEO wise than the benefit of having a sitemap... I never like XMap, used it for a while, JSitemap is far superior, though not free

Modules show up on whatever page you've assigned them too... so check your assignments in the module itself...

    • No, it started long before xmap install. The problem was diagnosed as most likely a RokGallery issue resulting from Joomla's use of 'itemid' to decide which module or template to use on a give page. This “Duplicate Content” issue has caused headaches for years and considered a bad thing by search engines. The fix is posted in the User Manual but for me, I consider it code, very confusing and not easy for me to mess with.
