    Campaign website using Simplix

    • Simplix is especially useful for simple campaign websites that are typically low on content. Here's one I recently put together:

    • Looks a lot better than your run of the mill politician's website, but maybe you should remove that blue stripe that separates the header from the content. It doesn't serve any function.

    • But I like the blue stripe. He's a democrat, and they like blue. :)

    • Maybe you can make the stripe a lot taller and then put some of the content in there like in the demo http://demo.rockettheme.com/aug07/ .

I wonder if my aunt knows him. She's a Chicago lawyer, and tends to know all the lawyers and judges from around there.

    • Had it that way originally (style A), but there was too much blue then.

    • But I like the blue stripe.

Ditto I think it looks good just how it is.

    • The little bullet boxes worked nice for a "voting" theme. Just put a check in them, and you've got a candidate site with not much work. :)

Wish I knew Joomla back in the days I did Barack Obama's site. Would have saved a ton of effort back then.

    • Social networking? You mean like a forum or something? I have set up Dadamail that they'll be using for sending emails to prospects, and I'll probably add a link that will allow joining the mailing list.
