I started a petition against the cruelty of Californian three strikes law against minor crimes like petty theft. people receive 25 years prison for shoplifting, what a crazy world !

the only problem is dat that the hyperlinks are placed through the text in IE6.
In IE7 of firefox there is no problem
who knows who to solve this hyperlink issue ?

...clean look, but perhaps a prison/wire fence background would fit it a bit better than the stock backgrounds?
I can see where our laws must seem odd to people who do not live here:
Sheep baa'd in sex case
A MAN who was accused of having sex with a sheep has walked free because the animal was unable to testify.
The man, from Haaksbergen, near Utrecht in the Netherlands, was reported to police after a farmer caught him having sex with a sheep.
But the case was thrown out of court as the sheep couldn't take to the stand to testify that it didn't want to have sex and had suffered emotional stress.
Under Dutch law, bestiality is not a crime unless it can be proved the animal didn't want to have sex.
"Short of putting the sheep in the dock, at the moment these perverts cannot be prosecuted," animal rights campaigner Jos van Huisen said.
Three strikes is Baaaa'd.

I actually don't mind the stock background. It's hard and cold like prison so I can see how it's appropriate. My suggestion might be to edit the template_css.css file to add a padding-right: 10px; to the images just so the text isn't butted right up to them. You might just do an overall image class pading something like:
img {
padding: 10 10 10 10;
}
That would put a 10 pix buffer around all your images.

3 Strikes means 3 times getting caught and 3 times being prosecuted and being found guilty.
When someone gets arrested for robbery or shop lifting what are the chances that they got caught the first time they did it?
When someone gets pulled over for driving under the influence what are the chances that is the first time they drove drunk?
There has to be a multiplier that is applied to each incidence when a person is caught, prosecuted, and found guilty.
Caught drunk driving three times probably means the person has done it 100 times! Unless of course the person has the worse luck in the world.
Caught stealing three times probably means the person has done it 50 times! Unless of course the person has the worse luck in thw world.
Now, if the person gets bombed, drives to Walmart steals some sneakers, and then heads of to the local Sizzler were he proceeds to dine and dash I would be more understanding and less likely to want to call that three strikes.
Other than that 3 Strikes and you are out baby!! >
