    • I remember seein your other site not too long ago and take this as a complement, but I think it's a vast improvement. I really like it. I ran IE7 on it and didn't seem to have a problem on color changes.

    • Cheers Timi. I will take it as a compliment. I ran a poll in my forum and most members who voted wanted to keep the old replicant style. I have been wanting to update for ages and I have wasted weeks trying new templates and then dumping them, but this template really is the "bollox". Well done guys, you created a cracker! ;D

    • Mmmm if you had no errors in IE7 it just dawned on me what could be causing these script errors. I use IE8 in IE7 emulation mode. Could be interesting info for some programmer somewhere...

...story of my RT life! I wish they would take a few months off, or produce some really lame templates for a few releases, as I need to get my 3 sites done and stop playing around!  :)

As for your site, given my affinity for poker, I am going to go through it and check everything out now (making coffee), but my first impression is a winner - love the look (and, like you, think I am yet again changing to the latest RT template)! :)

I'll post back if I run into problems during my test drive. Looks great, Martin.

    • I suspect you are still working through the change in templates, but perhaps change the 'Home' page title for the home page to something? "World Poker League" perhaps? :)

In the header, you have "You haven't played poker 'til youv'e..." The grammer-police handbook suggests changing it to "you've." :)

In your footer, the entire text area, save the copyright, privacy, and disclaimer, is linked to the home page. All of the text is within your a href tag, even the email address.

I like the "plan route" feature; is that a small extension you installed or a true Google widget placed in an html module? Nice toy. I could put that bad boy to use.

On your "shop" page, perhaps consider centering the text/images in the scroller? Looks to be aligned right and did stick out at me.

All of the 'Mansion" links in the "Mansion" menu items are broken (returning 404).

Your slider with "Competitions...Grand Tournament" matches the black background so much that I didn't realize it's a slider. Unless that's by design, perhaps lighten it up a bit? I clicked around in that area, as the word "home" underneath it struck me as odd and wanted to see what was going on there. ;)

Also, on the home page, when I switch the "style" from black to white, it's a different page? No slider action up top when white is selected, only when black is set do I get the slider? By design?

I did get errors on this page:

      masterspokerleague.com/component/option,...etterman/Itemid,235/

Once there (the newsletter page), whatever is trying to load in the upper-left area just showed a placeholder (suspect an ad); probably related to the IE error I am getting on this page?

And how do you have another site popup in a new browser AND navigate to an internal page in the same brower working together when you click on a menu item (like Leaderboards -> pub leaderboards)? Me likes and have been trying to figure this out. You have an iframe opening a -blank link or something?

    • Cheers for the info Terp! It's much appreciated. Yep it was a rush job cos I had to get the website up and running again as our Quarter Final is this Saturday so there is still alot of bits that need attention.

      1. Sorted my spelling in the top right.
      2. Had to temporarliy link the footer text so that it stands out better when you switch from black to white, I will sort later.
      3. You can get "Plan Route" from http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,3311/Itemid,35/
      4. We will be getting some quality products for our shop in the near future, until then any changes to it are last on my list.
      5. Mansion Links broken...Out of my hands I'm afraid but thanks for bringing that to my attention, I have passed that on.
      6. Slider is under construction. For now the slider is only in black. That was meant to give the viewer something different to look at when he's playing with the nobs.
      7. Newsletter page/ Letterman - This is of greater interest to me. Thanks again for bringing this to my attention. I don't get any errors on this page at all. Would you be able to post a screen print?
      8. Leaderboards - They are pure html in a wrapper.

PS We should stay off the coffee and start drinking fresh orange juice. Apparently we will live longer!

    • Attached please find that screenshot, Martin...looks to be expecting an .swf file that is missing, perhaps?

And thanks for the 'Plan Route' extension; the extensions I am using finally migrated over to J1.5 (most, a couple legacy mode), so I made the leap. Hopefully the developer will bring that bad boy forward, too. Nice. :)

And tell me the popup isn't this simple: add a wrapper module to a page with a URL and set it to open in a new browser, and when the menu item is clicked on to navigate to the page, it opens the page (and the page in the wrapper) simultaneously. :) If so, I feel stupid never having tried this, but trying now.

      Here's the screenshot:

Sorry, this is a mistake. It's not a wrapper. It's just a link url opening up in new page with no navigation. Sorry to lead you in the wrong direction there.

I don't understand the problem with the swf. I see it fine and it works ok down the local pub. Maybe you need to update your version of flash? If anyone else reading this post sees the same problem on the newsletter page please post a messege here.

Thanks again for the input Terp, I will be looking forward to seeing your conversion!

    • The .swf loads fine for me in FireFox, though there are some other issues at the moment; using IE, however, it is not loading for me. You see if when browsing with IE? (using IE7 to test it).
