    • Website URL : www.musiciansroad.com - a website to help give advice and guidance to musicians everywhere.

      Additional Extensions :
      • MassContent
      • Fireboard
      • RokSlideShow
      • JomComment
      • Sigsui OBI2
      • JoomlaPack

      Custom Development: None..... yet

      Other Features:

Any specific areas of my site that I'd like feedback on, if any: Anything.

Additional Comments: This is my first site I've shared up here so I'm after any suggestions or feedback. The site is still in the early stages of content creation, and I'm still looking for some new bloggers to join the ranks.

What I would like to do is get away from the standard FrontPage component and go for something a bit more magazine like that will allow me to add different images for different content locations eg: if an article is a lead story it shows a different picture to if it is just a front page story etc.

      Any suggestions welcome.

    • Great looking site! Well Layed out, good colors. The add in the upper right looks like the graphic is meing expanded and is pixlated. Otherwise great job!

    • Very nice. How difficult was the integration of Fireboard?
    • Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience...

    • Hi
On the FrontPage you have more than a few ways to take me off your site and to deliver me into the hands of someone else.
      I probably would not return.
There are any number of sites that you have lead me to.
There are a few areas of the site with links and no content.
Check out the community showcase site
      www.mccn.edu/
it changes pics per category or section
there are threads here that tell how to do it.
      Site looks great!

    • Looks great Chris. One suggestion, the orange links on the green sidebar are hard to read.

      Keep up the great work!

    • Hey people, thanks for the comments....

To Nick - I have a guy who does all my logo work. He just has this knack of taking my vague as hell descriptions and turning them into something fantastic. Do you need some work done? I can pass on your details if you like?

To Eric - It was easy. I found that there is a standard Fireboard template that suited my colour scheme perfectly so there was no real hard work to do. It's just a shame that FB is not 1.5 yet. It's the only reason the site is running legacy. I found one 1.5 forum system but it is no where near as good.

To Roland - True... I'm writing a frontpage replacement component atm, so the layout is going to completely change and look more professional and useful. Seriously, the standard frontpage component is the only weakness is Joomla imo

    • Nice looking site. I have been checking out other sites registration pages and yours looks more correctly aligned then others. Did you do anything to edit the registration page? Looks like you are using the Signal login module--any problems with your frontpage modules (rokslideshow) showing up on registration page?

Thanks and good luck with the site.

    • Hi Robert, sorry for the late reply. I've had no issues with RokSlideShow at all. I haven't edited the registration page, I'm just really fanatical about image widths in content modules. I didn't realise people were having issues. What have you been coming across?
