Other Features: I'm using Joomla only as a home page for a vbulletin forum that I am running in the background. They are not however linked together so I know that's one area I could potentially improve upon.
Any specific areas of my site that I'd like feedback on, if any: I'd like to get suggestions on what features of my template I can use to maximize the potential for my site. Right now the content is pretty static and I know in order to attract more visitors I need more dynamic and visually pleasing content. Any and all suggestions are welcome!

That's actually just an Amazon.com widget. You insert it into your template like if it were a Google ad or any other banner.
They just enabled animation with it so it makes it a bit more interesting.
