    • This is a site promoting a hobby of mine, fly tying. I have purposely inserted a blank right column that will be used for banner ads delivered through OpenX. I did this so that when the ads start to run there is not a significant change to the format of the content for the rest of the site. I will also be delivering text link ads in the Synapse module positions below the footer bar.

The site is still in development as you will see from the "What's in Store' link. My biggest issue right now is SEF. I have installed sh404SEF which has a plugin for Mosets Tree and it works fantastic for SEF except when a user clicks the menu item 'Add A Recipe' then it logs them out. It may be in the manner in which I created the menu item (it is just a copy/paste of the link generated by Mosets Tree). If anyone knows how to exclude a url from sh404SEF, that would fix the issue.

      Any feedback is appreciated!

    • Thanks! I appreciate that very much.

Unfortunately I no longer have any time to get to the stream while taking care of this site!

    • I like it a lot. Very simple and to the point. What component did you use for the voting system. I would like to implement something like that on my site.

    • Thank you!

It is the built in voting system for Mosets Tree directory.

    • Joseph - Just Registered. I really like the site and the thought you've put into it. Especially the "Recipe" idea and the way you've made it work. So much so that you have dislodged one of my "Conceptual Writer's Blocks" when it comes to doing something similar on a section of my fishing site (custom wooden plug building). I just don't know if I'll do it in Joomla (the site) or vBulletin (the near 600K posts forum)

I like everything about the design other than wood on top and bottom. There is simply TOO much great imagery that tugs at the addicted angler, NOT to have a good image that plays to your soul across the top of the page. I know, because I kick myself in the head every time I look at my old site (in redesign) with the crappy images I'm currently using.

I do think the Registration may be difficult for a bunch of old salts in that they need to see it spelled out. Graphically pointing to a +member image for registration might throw them for a loop (no disrespect intended for old timers)

Also see if yo can take out some of the open space. Someone viewing in 1024x768 (yes, it still happens) is going to be OK width wise but up and down it may be a bit light on the detail you have. You can go to this site, key in your URL and preview what the site looks like at different resolutions: www.yournew.com/resolution_test.cfm# .

I'll also need to forward this link to a good friend that is an accomplished saltwater tyer/guide in Rhode Island.

As far as typing flys I can offer no advise as I've only done one in my lifetime (Rhody Flatwing). I tend to fish (Surfcasting) with custom wooden lures or the occasional living lure in the northeast.

Great Work. Good luck. Maybe we'll trade links down the road.
