First Joomla Site (Still in working process)

    • Hi, this is my first joomla website. It was challenging yet exciting to mess with the template. I am still working on the site, so you will still find the sample joomla content.

      I also have a problem accessing my mambot manager. When I click on a mambot it errors: "restricted access". I checked my files and do not see a mod_mambot folder or anything that says mambot........would that be the problem and how to fix. I think that may be the reason why I can't seem to get any of the gallery mods or comps. to work on my site.

      Please, leave me some feedback on the layout and suggestions on the "restricted access" error.

      Thanx, by voorbaat dank,

    • Hi Refany,

      Your header.swf is much larger (950px) than your site (850px) and your layout is broken. Under your header, you have still PixelPerfect logo. You can remove background set in #logo in co-dark:

      #logo {

      background: url(../images/dark/pixel_logo.png) no-repeat;

      }

      Your site looks nice, blue, green and black are looking good together.

    • Yes, the header is wider than the body. However, the site look great!

    • Thanx for pointing the header issue out. Funny thing is, it looks perfect on my laptop thats why i didnt catch it. To see what you guys meant I opened my site up on my computer at work and indeed, it was wider.

      Now, I think i made it smaller, but on my laptop it looks smaller than the body. I have no way of knowing whether its looking good and lined up as it should be.

      Anyone care to help me out and let me know how it looks after the fix?

      Why would it look good on my laptop which is running on 1280 x 800 resolution...??

    • Thanx alot for ur help guys! I hope it looks fine now. I'll check it on my computer at work. I don't know what I did to fix it, I was just messing arpund with the index.php and templatecss files.

      I also got the mambot to fix, thanx to Arifin.

      I still need to find out why some mods and/or components are not working for me (galleries and blogs).

      Cheers,

      Update:

    • Hey guys, I forgot how to write text in the footer (copyright etc...). My memory has been so bad lately from all these different yet awesome comps and mods from joomla, it made me forget how to do other things... ???

      Thanx, and thanx for visiting the site. Any ideas U think I should do with it as far as mods or components?

      BTW. I cant seem to find the joomla radio mods/comp....I would like to add a radio function with different existing stations on the web.

      Merci!
