well Rockettheme templates are great, I am glad i am a customer of Rockettheme, Members have loved the templates from here when i have used them.
This thread was made while using rockettheme. Am i expected to delete it, or just ignore people posting here?
If so then a moderator can kindly erase this thread.
I dont understand how people could feel insulted, at the current time i felt i wanted to go for the community template from another site, Because it suited the site at this current time.
People also know i get bored, and often change my template. I even looked through Rocketthemes, but having done alot of them already, i didnt find one i wanted to use.
In fact, you are the person who created a Link to the template club..... how does that make sense?
It is nice to see you like Rockettheme so much, I do too..... but you are coming accross like a Preacher.

Ok let's bury this. I'll try to explain my take on this with relevant examples and actual events.
I am a 2d and 3d graphic artist with strong ties to the gaming community with several retail and mod team projects showing my work....
However when you consider a product like RED ORCHESTRA
Where a young graphic artist who went by the moniker of "POLYGON" was getting his start. This student of mine in the disciplines of flesh textures and clothing textures asked to see some of my starting point templates for some textures I had done for a similar project.
This person decided to use and submit MY exact artwork without alteration and PIMPED IT AS his OWN! HE was not honest he was not forthcoming with the truth and he took a load of compliments and wows from the community. JUST LIKE YOU ARE NOW which is totally dishonest and in bad taste. and VERY insulting.
The theft of my work helped his team win the "Make something Unreal" Contest from EPIC GAMES and THEY won 1 Million dollars!!! which propelled the product from FREE MOD to RETAIL product. Now they are also making money off of the sales of the retail product.
This is the backstory - The reason behind my disgust with this. I mean it really chafes me...
FACTS:
You have at at no point mentioned that you switched to Template PLAZZA
You are basically leading people to believe (UNTIL TERP MENTIONED IT) That this is your work.
you have no problem taking the compliments. and acknowledging the "WOW's"
but are not giving credit where credit is due.
That is where the bad taste comes in. You still don't care that you may be doing something wrong and that is the problem. You still don't care if you have insulted anyone or have come off wrong yourself.
On the link creation.... The link was created so people could compare and see that you actually didn't do anything worthy of wows or congrats. Slapping "JACKIE" onto what the template already had is hardly a "WOW" or worthy of any praise. Not when you couple it with the lack of honesty on your part here. I posted the link to expose you as a fraud. THAT is how it makes sense.
OK so you asked....what you should do in this case.
An example of what you could have done? I already set that example for you in my SHOWCASE with Tactical-FPS and Sporticus. - I removed the links to the site and informed people that I wouldn't link to the site because I didn't feel it was right to advert the competition.
I PM'd the one person who replied and informed him of the facts and told him that if he still wanted to check out the site to let me know. (Site was in NON-LIVE heavy alpha building as well.)
SO you see - I live up to my "preaching" which kind of negates the definition you are using as you've posted.
Another PERFECT example would have been to START A NEW THREAD that was MORE FORTHCOMING with the facts.
What puzzles me the most is that you did not have a problem telling people you were using JomSocial. Then why not mention of COMUNA 3?
In case you still don't get it..... I will make it simple for you...
You cannot walk into McDonalds and sit at their seats and EAT BURGER KING FOOD
#1 BAD TASTE. ( no scruples) #2 they will kick you out. It's just common sense and if you don't have enough of that to see my points without constantly defending your actions and trying to put me down with your "preaching" comment. Then maybe a little "preaching" is just what you need.
So lets lock this thread or.... lets refrain from defending your actions further... I have my opinion. and you have basically stated more than once now you don't care about another community members opinion. Namely mine. I guess that is something to be proud of?

I have the same question, why you stopped use the Facebook connect JFB?
relax guys, I understand that you changed the template because RT dont have any template for a clean community. RT templates are very good but I have the same problem to find a good RT template for a community.
This would very nice guys? make a clean template for a community website, I waiting :cheesy:

I had a problem witht he site, so uninstalled it.

So, keep up the good work and some of us know that you have the right to switch up YOUR SITE HOW YOU LIKE IT....and know that your not trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes.
