Health & Fitness with Versatility 4

Posted 15 years 8 months ago
    • I have just upgraded the site from Populus to Versatility 4 due to incompatibility issues with Populus and IE6.

As much as I liked the look of Populus, the change has been worth it. Noticably faster page loads, most issues with IE6 solved, and much more functionality allowing flexibility in design and layout.

Extensions used on the site are:
      1. RokNewsRotator
      2. NewsShow GK3
      3. NewsShow GK2
      3. sh404SEF
      4. Bookmark System Manager
      5. Linkr
      6. googleSearch
      7. ContactUs by Software 13
      8. JoomlaFCK
      9. AllVideos Reloaded
      10. BIGSHOT Google Analytics

Any suggestions or questions are welcome.

    • Thanks prim, will still do a lot more with the module and typography capabilities.

I'm very happy with the template, thanks RT.

    • WR, I've used the menu style 4 with the MooMenu type, and customized the graphics in Photoshop to suit the theme of my site. The settings are all in the Versatility template control panel.

    • cheers!

I wonder why they dont come as default in the demo version? I can see them as nearly essential.
      tx for the tip.

I was about to discard the template untill I saw yours and realized it could be included....

and again, you have a brilliant site, really liked it.

    • btw, I just realized that in my usual browser, maxthon 2, a big chunk of your site is void

      i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee218/WR-Fife/ScreenShot021.jpg

on firefox 3 its got a diferent layout and info

      i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee218/WR-Fife/ScreenShot018.jpg

I'm surprised the "same type" of elements are hidden and seen in the same browser , as Im guessing the articles "most read in cancer" (visible) and "most read in sleep desorders" (invisible) are of the same kind. if they were both invisble it would have more logic to me.

I have no idea of why this happens, but I thought u would apreciate me telling you so u can look it up just in case. Of course it may be just my usual browser's problem and has no solution. :)
