You've got a really good start on this site. I'd suggest modifying the background to match your site subject and, just a very small thing, add a break before your footer line to give a little more room of separation above.

Thanks a lot for your kind feedback.

Agree on the break before the footer. Gonna ad some padding to that style :)

Regarding background image. I agree on adding something that suits the site, like a "faded" iamege of cards, spade, diamonds etc. But i aint the best with graphics hehe, so if anyone could help out with a "suggestion" - i would be thankfull. Btw, the color used in the background is ok - right? Asking cause it's so nice to get feedback on issues like this hehe :)

For the background with faded images you want to create, this is my sugestion:

      1. Go to your template/css folder and open your css file.
      2. Modify the background style to publish an image with absolute position on the center of the screen or just leave it to repeat horizontaly, if you want to take it more easy.
      3. Create some 5 or 6 images for that background with the "faded" style you want to. You can do that with corel draw, for example, creating the images with transparency and then exporting them as a png file with transparent background. The result is beautiful.
      4. Download and implement the following scritp: www.phpjunkyard.com/random-image.php
      5. On your background css style insert an image like this: background: url(../images/yourstyle/imagesfolder/randim.php) 0 0 no-repeat; or repeat-x or whatever.
      6. Put the images for the background under ../images/yourstyle/imagesfolder/ with the randim.php file.
Now, everytime your page loads, it shows a diferent background with a diferent image. I have not done this for like a few years but i think it just have to work ok.

There don't seem to be many graphic designers around here! I have similar problems when it comes to graphics. Your site is looking pretty good compared to the competition and I think the subject fits the template well. I used this template too for my site at www.masterspokerleague.com . 8)

      Hi,

      Thanks for the feedback :)

Nice to meet a fellow Poker "Lova" here at RT. I cant agree more regarding the subject fitting the template style :)

Hmmm, maybe me and you should try to swap some links? Interested?

I like your site a lot and it's already in my favourite folder. Gona watch it closely :)

Regarding the bacground image - seems like we got us an suggestion in the reply after yours... I'm at least gona try it. Thanks to the poster for sharing it.

    • Looks great, I'm building a video gaming site and this is a good example of the potential. What shoutbox are you using?

I'm not so sure my sponsor (The geezer who pays the bills) would be happy on exchanging links to a web site that could be in direct competition but I am sure we could help each other somehow. I also run a poker room on a relatively new network which in my view has great potential to be a success in the future if we could find a way of passing some players over to them. PM me if your interested. :P

      PM coming up :)

I have the same question. I would love to do this!

In addition, how did you get the banner ad next to the logo?

      Thanks!
