Where are you located? I'm surfing from a hotel in KL and its pretty fast loading so not too bad for a home webserver!

Hi,
I am in Malaysia using TmNet's home streamyx (adsl provider).
I am using just a normal computer (Pentium duo 1G ram, i forgot the exact specification).
(1) I think it is because my area not a lot of streamyx user,
You know if your area have a lot of streamyx user, than the speed will be very slow.
(2) All my charts are in .gif format, it's size is a lot smaller than jpeg, example a single charts only has 20KB.
also, it is more suitable for charts to use .gif format.
Because of only small amount of data to load and when it loaded it affect a large area of screen, so it give you a sense of great speed
I am thinking to move my site to a hosting company.

Thanks for the info.
I think at the current speed it's running, you don't need to move it until your site gets more traffic.
My site is on a hosting company and its slower than yours!

It is cheaper to host site in hosting company.
case (1) using home server.
One month electricity consumption could cost you RM25/=, one year is RM300.
not to mention the internet subscription line, minimum RM66/month or RM792/year.
case (2) using hosting company.
For a RM80/year package, you get 100MB storage space, and 5G monthly transfer limit.
RM180/year package, you get 1GB storage space and 10G monthly transfer limit.
both package also include MySql.

ok, today i transferred my website to a hosting company

and this one is still at my home server:

first time use JoomlaPack to transfer the website to a hosting company.
very exciting that it works!

The webhosting company i am using is not very good.
(website cannot load, site will only load after several attempts)
So, i now using my home webserver again.
next, am going to upgrade my internet to 1mbps package (cost RM88/month or RM1056/yr)
