    • Couple of things to look at :)

      - Top menu and left menu are a mess in IE6...are you using transparent images there perchance?
      - A couple of images in the content are WAY bigger (filesize) than they should be for the quality - try resaving with higher compression. The second one down is code-resized? It still has the original filesize but the quality looks bad, I'd manually resize then re-link it. The site loads quite slowly because of this.
      - the blue flame icons (I think thats what they are) don't work in IE6 - transparencies again!
      - I'd consider changing the blog layout to single column, the mainbody is too narrow for a 2-column layout IMO (last article is really squished from that one next to it with the wide photo).

      Header art is awesome!

Hi Dan, I appreciate the feedback.

-The photos are hot-linked in from each featured artists site. That way they share the bandwidth, and I don't have to resize, or re-work with every darn picture someone else takes. I know it means that I don't have all of the control, and that is ok. I don't make anything from the site, but I'd like it to look as good as it can.
-After working with the Techozine template, I began to realize it was a bit older template than I'm used to working with. For instance, (look how nice a recent client's site turned out). I rarely use IE but found out what caused the problem. The .png color-space was incidently changed on save. I learned to make sure to double check that no filters or Hue/Saturation applications alter the color-space. (I even tried installing " Ultimate PNG Fix" by Joomlaworks ).
-I almost agreed about changing to a 2 column style, but opted to lose the 3rd frontpage article instead.

Any ideas how I can get a .swf file to work as a line in the CSS? I've tried it a couple different ways but I'm wondering if Joomla itself prevents that approach.

Thanks again for the feedback! I've already made the changes you suggested. By the way, your Toolbox site looks awesome!!! You've inspired me. Thanks for the encouragement about my header art.

PS - The Elixer dark looks nice! I'm working on doing something with Elixer 2.0 for my design studio front door.

Thats always the problem with the older ones - they need a little more work to get the results you want. By the way, the template on the site you link to is really nice - and the site looks wonderful!

As for the .swf - no I don't think you can put this as a CSS line. You will need to embed the Flash movie within the template's index.php in the correct place - it's not normally too hard to figure out - what is generally harder is implement is IE's need for the "click here to activate" - getting round that can be a bit of a PITA.
