My son who is a youth hockey player and I have put this web site together. This is our very first web site. We would like you to critique our website. We are looking for positive and negative feedback. We would appreciate, if you could give us a few minutes of your time to review this site. Please review our site and let us know about any questions, comments and suggestions what you might have.
We now have our reviews database in place to start accepting reviews on ice hockey. We plan on turning on the registration option after this evaluation period.

Nice job on your site! Content looks good. One thing I might change would be to the background color of your Adsense ads on the right to make it blend in better.
#737D8E is the color of the background.

So here's what I think you should do:- If you don't already have them, create some graphic banners in different sizes
- Make a page to display the banners and create a link on your site that says "Link to our site"
- Surf for sites that might be interested in a link exchange. You can add their link to your site too. Contact the site owner and ask them if they would be interested in linking to your site. Give them a link to the equipment sizing guides, as many youth hockey sites will be interested in making that information available to their users...as well as the review information.
- Add more images to your site. You have lots of unused space. Is there a module that comes with the review component? Maybe you could show the last 5 or most popular items with a thumbnail.

- Looks good. I'd have the Slap Shot video stopped when the page is loaded as opposed to running. Let your visitors start the video when they are ready to watch it.

2 things:
1. Don't let the video autostart. I had no idea at first where the sound was coming from until I scrolled down.
2. You should state clearly on the homepage that you need other people to send in reviews. Maybe a third column next to top rated and latest with a graphic and text asking people to send in reviews. Maybe with a link to the registration page or a page with some more info. - I use simplix, does this mean that I'm a simple guy ?
