Hi everybody, this is my first try at a web site
. I would appreciate any feedback.
I love the Sporticus theme and I love the forum here, because everybody is willing
to help everybody else. So come on people tell me where my problems are :

Hey Great first up Effort.
Just one little suggestion (and only my opinion) - I wouldnt place the hit counter in such a prominant or key position on the site. I think you could place a key message or article brief here as it is really prime realestate in terms of positioning on the site.
Also it does take a bit of scrolling to get to content on the homepage - I don't have a problem with scrolling but I think perhaps you could lower the amount of forum topics listed to 2 that would balance things up and bring up the content. You could always utilise the 3 column layout of Sporticus and put the forum and blog entries here and narrow the banner ad (probably too much work).
Great effort for you very first website I am impressed!

For a first go, that's pretty awesome. Agree with David regarding the hitcounter; to be honest, they're a bit ninties and I'd just lose it altogether and install a more comprehensive back-end stats counter like BSQ sitestats.
As for layout, the site looks a little disjointed and spaced-out - try to compact it a little more - perhaps offer snippets (intros) of articles to keep the amount of copy down.

Hey, Thanks guys. Took your word for it and made the changes. I must say it does look better. I was using the third row at first but there was not much room for content. Then I figured out how to make the template wider yesterday. Thanks again

The updated changes look great. At my resolution I can see a heap of content now - well done!
