Anyhow, I had one other question for you, Stewart: how do you isolate the faculty/staff from the alumni in comprofiler? I notice that in the alumni section, you can click on people's names in the list, and you will see the "Alumni Profile" tab, and in the faculty section, you click and see the "Faculty profile." When users of the site edit their information, do they see those other tabs, or do you have some type of advanced permissions scenario? I really haven't had time to monkey with that yet, and comprofiler is so extensive, I have found that project to be a little daunting!
I do have individual tabs for alumni profile and faculty profile. When registering you only see the alumni tab (items that I have set to appear at registration. However, when they (alumni) edits their profile they do see the faculty profile, but you can make a note that this tab is only for faculty. I used this as a faculty directory because I wanted the faculty to be able to edit a profile without me having to enter the info. As far as displaying the different list, comprofile dose that very well. You just have to play with it to get it to display what you want. I do this mostly by assigning our teachers to a higher user group and have comprofiler display just the publishers (for example).
You should really try comprofiler, also you can now link it to YANC registration as well.
Thanks for the help on the module and that bug (been trying to figure that one out too).
