The V8 Supercars Fan Group is run by fans for fans who love the Australian V8 Supercar series. The site which began in 2006 has grown strongly and are proud to once again use RocketTheme templates after a year off (we changed to another company mid last year, BIG MISTAKE!).
Since the change over in templates on Jan 10, the site traffic has increased in excess of 100%, something that I am very surprised at! Don't forget to check out the 3 site themes by clicking the icons on the top right of page - Hopefully you enjoy the site!

Custom Development: New Styles, Split Feature section into 2 for Slideshow and Promo ads.
Future Development: We like to make the Jomsocial Login module look the same in the Demo, tidy up the footer menu so it has more spacing between links and definitely work on the loading times - even though its fairly good here in Australia with Aussie hosting
All these I'll post in the support section later cause I will need some assistance with them.
Feedback is welcomed :cheesy: I have attached a screenshot of what the site looked like 12 months ago using Mixmag - what a change it has been and all the members are very happy with the new site - aswell as the new BOLD V8SFG logo

I love the backgrounds...very nice, sir.
No problems using FrontPage Slideshow and its jQuery? Looks like its running in 'NoConflict' and working nicely...looking at using it, too, though I wish Andy would upgrade the RTA rotators to be a bit more stylish/functional (hint, hint, Mr. Miller).
Edit: Whoah, I just noticed FPSS calls the full jQuery library and its nearly 60K...that's what I was afraid of...just no mootools based rotators that are nice (and light).
Nonetheless, very nice site...well-done.

The site looks great guys!
My only quibble is that the events strip on the home page (which show "next" through "event 16") seem like they should be clickable. A better usability solution may be to have them clickable to event detail pages OR to have a link there that says, "View the upcoming events" and then you go to a page where you can put more context around the event images.

I agree...found myself clicking on the images expecting a slider or something to display the various tracks.

As for the clickable event icons, I was aiming to do that when I first came up with the idea but wanted to produce a popup rather then a redirection to a new page, I couldn't find out how to do it in time. An example of what I mean is on this site:

I believe they are using the JCE lightbox plugin, can RokBox do something like this?

Been over 10 months since we have used the Infuse template and with 2 months left in its life for us, we decided to refreshen the site up a little bit with another update.
What do you think?
Almost 2am here so hopefully everything is A-OK haha.
