Here is my first Joomla site: http://www.rivendellcollege.org. This is based on the Vortex template with some modifcations. I ended up changing colors and removing a couple of modules. It has been a fun learning experience. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the encouragement. It has taken me awhile to learn the ends and outs of Joomla. My client wanted to have the ability to change and add content so Joomla seemed like the way to go. They may even update some content daily, and I can't imagine doing this without CMS.
Anyone else have any advice or comments?

Thanks for the compliments. I am getting ready to add a flash slideshow to the front page. I should have something up tomorrow. The school has been busy adding a bunch of content. Joomla has been awesome to allow them the ability to edit and add content. I should be working myself out of a job
soon on this site. I still need to implement some large forms for applications using facileforms.

Great site!
My only suggestion would be some kind of arrow or indication that a menu will expand on mouse-over, I def. wasnt expective the explosion of menu options when going over the main bar

I just added a Flash slide show to the frontpage.
It took awhile to figure out how to get it into Joomla. I finally set my editor as non-WYSIWYG and put the code in. It is set up to still display something if java or flash are not installed or enabled. I think it makes the site a little more attractive. All the menus work so people can bypass the Flash if they know where they are going.
