    • Mobius may not be the latest templates, but it still looks really good and really fits the character of this site aimed at local students. You can have a look at

      www.studentinbournemouth.co.uk

I have used EventList to publish local events (see Events Diary) and Fifi Tagbot for social bookmarking.

    • Nice clean site and does the job. I noticed that the title of the module for Nightclub Regular Programme flows into 2 lines as it is too long. You may want to retitle the module.

      Well done.

    • Nice site Eric.

One suggestion though is that maybe you could make the boxes at the bottom (1. Studying in Bournemouth; 2. Accommodation; ...) link to some pages. It would make navigation more intuitive for your visitors.

    • David and Sebastien,

Thanks for your feedback. I have corrected the title in the Event diary to fit the length of the box when using the large font.
I will also link from the boxes on the frontpage, probably this week end (the 1st level menu items are not completely finished yet)

I am not too happy with the numbering of the boxes, but this is the only way that I could find to get them in the order that I wanted. It seems that Joomla automatically sorts the items on the front page by alphabetical order. Maybe I missed something, but if you know a way to get the items sorted on the front page in the way they are defined in the back-end interface, I would appreciate a hint.

      Cheers. Eric

Edit the frontpage main menu item (normally "Home") and in the parameters on the right, change the Primary Order to "Front Page ordering".

Now go into the Frontpage manager and set the desired order.

Site looks nice; although I did notice that you've made a change to the search box area - it looks darker and a little mis-aligned. Good work!

    • Yay Bournemouth!
      Looking good with nice content.
Bit that distracts me is the top graphic is 1 pixel shorter than the the section on the right with the font size options.
it should also have a nice round corner top left - like on the right.

+ you should like to my site - www.realbournemouth.com

    • There is a light graphical bug just under the top menu. The thin separation line between header and body has a different colour - at least with IE7.
