    • Cool Site

      Here are a few suggestions:-

-Move everything from the User 5 module into the User 7 module which should free up for space for your primary content
-I know you flagged up your dislike of the graphic, maybe with the update, try and incorporate the text and image into a single image
-Slow down the speed of the slider

      Thats my 2 cents ;D

    • Hey Steven,

I am not really good with graphics, but these might work for you. If you need me to modify something or change the size just let me know.

    • Hi Jospeh,

Thanks very much I appreciate it, definitely a step in the right direction. Simple which I think is best for the site however much better presentation.

James thanks for the suggestions I will slow down the scroller I need to readjust the picture sizes also.

    • Nice start.

      A few suggestions.
Get some form of gallery to use for the numerous pictures on your site.
You will find it easier to manage them all later. For instance the Ice Training article has a whole bunch of pictures, making your page about a mile long. With some sort of gallery you could just create an album named Ice Training 2007 and put them all in there. Then you could add links to the album/gallery in your content item and only include a few of the pictures in the article. I think perhaps a picture with a caption or some sort of description would make it look much nicer.
Same thing goes for the Father Smyth article.

Just some constructive suggestions to think about.

If you would like some gallery Ideas take a look around in the RT forum, It's a topic that has come up many times.

What sort of graphic/graphics do you need exactly for your site?
I could possibly help also. (volunteer fire dept. = volunteer graphics :) )

      Edit: added attachment.

    • Heres a bigger Maltese cross with your department on it.
It's on a transparent Background and a hook and ladder or whatever else you want can be added also.

    • Wow that is great thank you much for the graphics, I am definitely going to take your advice about the galleries I think that is that "lightbox" that I have seen somewhere.

Really appreciate really glad I joined this site, now if I can just get my table list problems solved!

    • I would advise against putting more than 10-12 pictures in a lightbox gallery. It will work if you do it but* (yes there's always a but ;)) Your page/s with lightbox will load very slowly if there are many many images in it. You may find a 3rd party gallery to your liking here: extensions.joomla.org/index.php?option=c...at_id=1779&Itemid=35
I don't have a favorite, they all seem to have strong points and weak ones also. Test some out on your local machine before installing on your live site.

If you are interested I would be willing to do most any graphic you might need (volunteer FD=volunteer GRFX) just drop me an e-mail or a PM and we can talk specifics.
