Where/How do you change the Gravatar?

- This is probably a stuuupid question, but I can't seem to be able to figure out where/how to change the avatar. The only place I could see that might be linked was to add me to the contact component and add an image there - but no joy. Is there a separate Gravatar/Avatar component that is needed to be installed?

I'm not usually able to answer questions on here but this one I can knock out
You'll have to goto www.gravatar.com and create an account with the same email address that you used for your Joomla login... (This is how Joomla and Gravatar find each other)
Upload an image and then wait a few mins sometimes it can take 30 mins or so, so don't worry when your image shows up right away.

You might want to also pull from the users contact pic in Joomla itself. Before I noticed the gravatar thing I that's the first thing I thought of, so I added a photo to my contact and got...nothing

didn't realize anyone used that user->contact linking i'll have a look at doing that also.

I never do, but it was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the avatar before I signed up for Gravatar.com

It seems to make sense to pull the contact image from the Joomla user info rather than require one to set up an account with Gravatar. Keeping things in-house keeps them simpler for the user.
