Bug? Module/Plugin parameters don't line up

Posted 13 years 10 months ago
    • I've noticed that some modules and plugins are very difficult to navigate because the name parameter on the left sometimes has so much information that it wraps to the next line, yet the selection/option parameter on the right is only on one line. If this happens too much, the lines become mismatch horizontally making it difficult to figure out what you're changing.

      The latest case in point...
I installed the ITPFloatingShare plugin from itprism.com/free-joomla-extensions/floating-social-share

You can see from the screenshot that it doesn't line up. In the default Joomla admin, those hashes are inline horizontally with the name parameter and don't take up 3 lines.

This has also happened with default Joomla plugins/modules so I know the finger doesn't solely point to ITP.

      Joomla 1.6.3
      Mission Control 1.6.1
      Firefox 4.0.1 on a Mac OS X

    • Joomla does of good job of not being "wordy" with their naming so it was hard for me to find an example, but here's a minor one...
Articles Category Module under Display Options

I did find some other examples with RT plugins... ( I assumed you'd have 1 or 2 these installed)
      Content - Rok Box
      Editor - Rokpad
      System - Rokbox Legacy Settings
      System - RokGZipper

Also, I forgot to mention that I have the MC template set to "Wide".

    • Ok, looks like i've found a better solution that takes care of those and should work for others too. Will be in 1.6.2 when it is released.

      Cheers.
