JFTP::store: Bad response

I'm getting the following error all throughout Mission Control (have throughout the betas and stable releases),
JFTP::store: Bad response
I have no other JFTP related issues and no permissions issues. In fact my site has no other issues I'm aware of at all. Any ideas? Also, changing the logo in the MC config produces "Error: could not copy file to destination" Permissions are all 755.
Any ideas?

It can also be cause by the wrong path for tmp & log in configuration.php
Is your FTP details correct and have you checked file/folder permissions? - Please reply with a direct link to the issue & create a new thread for each new issue.

Thanks, but that post wasn't relevant here and as I mentioned all file/folder permissions were checked (755). Log and tmp directories are set correctly as well. It turns out the fix for the JFTP error was to turn off Joomla's FTP layer in the global config, then turn it back on (found elsewhere on the Joomla forums). Not sure why this worked. (Changing header image still produces "Error: could not copy file to destination" with 755 permissions.
