    • I've translated the .ini files into my native Russian language but would like to test it before submitting here. Obviously, there are some fuzzy strings here and there in my localization and I would like to see how they pan out on the template's UI.

      Where under J! 1.7.2 should I move my ru-RU files to get my MC install localized?

      Regards,

      Alex Smirnov

    • Hi Alex, it won't work under the current release of MissionControl because most of those strings don't exist. We plan on getting a 2.0 release out shortly which you can use for testing.

    • Hi Andy. That's fair enough. What is your ETA for 2.0? Until then, should I still send you my tentative .ini files or you'd rather prefer getting them all production ready?

      Those are:

      MC_FRONTEND="Frontend"
      MC_MENU_WIDTH="Menu Width"
      MC_MENU_WIDTH_DESC="Set the dropdown menu width to Small, Medium, or Large"
      MC_SMALL="Small"
      MC_MEDIUM="Medium"
      MC_LARGE="Large"

      Andy, in which file those changes should be placed?

    • I update the language ZIP each time we add any strings.

      I just updated it with the following new strings:

      MC_EXPIRED="Session Expired"
      MC_ENABLE_SESSION_BAR="Enable Session Bar"
      MC_ENABLE_SESSION_BAR_DESC="The Session Bar is a visual representation of the session timeout"

    • Andy,

      I understand that you update ZIP file with new strings but in the ZIP file you have 5 INI files. My question was in which INI file should I put those updated strings? I already have Croatian translation prepared. Just need to update it with new string files so I can send it.

      Just a thought. Maybe you could use Transifex ( www.transifex.net/start/ ) for the translation purposes. It would be easier to maintain translations

    • Ah, the new strings all go in the template lang file. You can do a diff to ensure you have all the strings required.

      And yes, I was looking at transifex yesterday but it wanted a public URL for the lang file, and currently there is none. Plus it seems tailored to single .po files. Have you used it for joomla style .ini files?
