After updating Joomla to 2.5.1 and MissionControl 2.3, I now have multiple listings of rt_missioncontrol - Default in my admin templates. Any ideas? See attached image

Just noticed that it seems to be the Mission Control update manager that causes the problem. I have multiple sites running, and when I updated to MC version 2.3 on a Joomla 2.5.1 site, it duplicated my original template (that I had renamed to Mission Control - Default) so I now have 2 listed, and created duplicates of rt_missioncontrol - Default (now have 2 of them listed also)

Andy,
I understand this is a Joomla bug. And I agree with your comment that it is a real mess for users. Any suggestions of the best way to deal with it in the short run? My OCD doesn't like messes.
Thanks
Wallace
The only solution right now is to remove the extra entries from the #__extensions table. Probably best to back it up first if your not 100% comfortable deleting stuff directly from the database.
Thanks Andy!
You need to delete the extra template style too. I just picked the one that hadn't been customized.
Is there a way to select the mission control logo from the imsage/media directory that already exist instead of uploading another copy?
Thanks again!
Wallace

This still isn't fixed in 2.5.2. I guess this doesn't rise to the level of important. At least I have the steps to fix it memorized. Sure seems like a waste of time. Of course this time for me at least it was a gantry template that got hosed. I know it is a Joomla bug. Saw Andy's comments about the bug on Joomla board, sure hoped you had more juice than the rest of us. Guess not!
