    Not compatible with Acymailing

Posted 13 years 1 month ago
    • Hello

I've noticed that MissionControll (MC) is not compatible with AcyMailing (AM) newsletter component. When AM is accessed with MC, AM component admn layout is messed up.
I've added AM to MC blacklist but it seems that blacklisting doesn't work properly.
Sometimes AM is shown OK with standard Joomla admin template and some is not - layout is broken.

      Can you investigate?

    • I tested it out, and it seems that AcyMailing is using a very custom menu system in the header area. This is a very non-standard approach. Also their layout is not great overall, and what I thought was broken actually is how it looks normally!

Anyway, I just tested blacklisting and it works fine. There is a slight issue with going into a blacklisted item and out of it, the first load seems to be delayed one refresh. Hitting refresh fixes it. I'll look into that blacklist delay problem.

    • I have the same issue. Looks also that when you click out of the ACYmailing component it takes a second click to go back to the Mission Control Template.

We are working on a work around for the menu system. Ill check back in if we achieve it.

    • Someone sent this solution via email :)

You need to go to Acymailing configuration -> Interfaces -> Menu, and change the "Menu position" to "Above the main area". In this way Acymailing and Mission Control will work together nicely.

    • Good news is that the ACYMailing now seems to default to this "Above Main Area" setting and also it seems Joomla 2.5.4 has fixed the delay going in and out of blacklist mode.
