What browsers are supported?
The Google Font API is compatible with the following browsers:
Google Chrome: version 4.249.4+
Mozilla Firefox: version: 3.5+
Apple Safari: version 3.1+
Microsoft Internet Explorer: version 6+
The Google Font API is not currently supported on iPhone, iPad, iPod, or Android.

- It's good for caching and delivering the fonts faster but it adds an extra HTTP request. I think it's a worthwhile trade off. There's also a weird "feature" of Firefox that loads a font further down the stack while it's downloading a custom font so the text content will morph and look funky to the user. You won't have that problem if you use Google Font API.
