I posted this a year or 2 ago. Things change. Given how RT is unlikely to make it's membership management application available, I'd like the community to recommend something comparable. A solution that:
• lets you restrict access to some content based on whether a visitor's membership is current and paid
•automatically alerts members when membership is about to expire and need renewal
• uses authorize.net payment gateway
• and, ideally, provides only members access to jomsocial, message board, and docman resources (or another document management app)
If you have an app for that, please recommend.

Looks like OSE Membership Control Compontent is the best extension for this. Plenty of plugins to allow integration with other components (AcyMailing, JomSocial, JEvents, etc.)
