    • I have got a big problem...

I have been working on a site using the new colormatic template. All going well - then I tried using slimbox on a photo. It would not give a thumbnail (no big deal) but.....then the real problem.

from trying the slimbox onward...whenever I try to save any change or new content item (inc static items) I am booted out of the admin area and no changes are saved - the same happends when I try to delete content. This has rendered my site useless and I have no idea what is going on....

      ANY help/suggestions would be appreciated.

      George.

    • What was the last thing on your site that you changed before things went awry?

    • I installed the rok slimbox mambot - this has now been removed.

I have investigated further - I am unable to add any images unless I link the image from an external source, it is content with images that kick me out to main site. Could I have a problem with MOS image control. Can i reinstall this mambot?

      Cheers,

      George.

I would personally remove it entirely. The image features of good content editors are far better such as some on extensions.joomla.orh

    • I have used TMedit(no $) and WYSIWYGPro($) and both are very good. I was dissapointed with the TinyMCE editor but if you like it, you could try the popular JCE editor

    • Have just looked at editors.

Like the look of JCE - has anyone used this? If so, what is the verdict? ???

      George.

    • Looks like a crossover post. I will give JCE a go.

Thank you for your help, I shall let you know if it solves my problem with being booted out of admin area.

      Cheers,

      George.

I've used JCE for quite some time and like it. I like that I can customize the frontend and remove features such as Font choice as I prefer to have the css control fonts and not users. The image controls of JCE are great.

I just wish there was an option on an editor like JCE too have Text instead of icons. On a slow server, its annoying when you have to wait, still can never find the HTML code icon whilst its loading on a server 1500 miles away :D
