Great stream of consciousness, Stone. You are correct, sir!
I used to be into the 'us vs. them' wars, but I came to the realization that IT'S JUST A TOOL!
Back at cha, Stone!

I find it to be a ridicuous subject.
Mac vs. PC - I switched to PCs many years ago when Macs ceased to offer the same number of software options. Is mac OS a superior operating system? wtf really cares when they don't have the software to back it up. It's certainly not a cost-justified solution.
Firefox vs. IE - Does it really take a rocket scientist to realize that whoever holds market share has the superior product? Erm... wasn't Netscape superior to IE at one point? whatever happened to it?
png vs jpg & gif - how superior exactly is png when it doesn't work correctly in the most widely used browser on the internet?
Joomla vs Drupal - yeah, drupal is what the "cool kids" are latching onto these days. other than community portals Joomla leaves it in the dust. are we to base what a superior platform is on what the ubernerds say is superior? or do we want to stick to a cms proven time and time again in the commercial arena? personally, $ > leetness. then again I outgrew punk rock back in the 80's.
Ford vs. Chevy - screw you rednecks, audi owns you.
Boxers vs. briefs - if you don't realize what kind of a gimp you look like in briefs no one can help you.
Muffins vs. methamphetamines - only James knows.
AC vs DC (AKA Edison vs Tesla) - oh how so few of you even know the story here.
Poison gas vs Tanks - WWI was the proving ground, you tell me who won.
Elitism vs common sense, reason, and intelligence - if you gotta ask, you'll never know.
the Tucker Torpedo vs. well... other cars - go see the movie and cry "superiority" over a failed venture.
My point is that you can scream at the top of your lungs how superior your choice of "whatever" is but in the long run elitism dies by the wayside and the "oh so common" solution lives on.
