    Update URL's/Links/Image name - auto update throughout site?

    • This is a feature in WordPress and I know why it works that way, but when you update a menu URL or image name - it auto updates the entire site so that you don't have broken links from update image names or page URL's.....

      Is there a plugin or component with Joomla that essentially does the same thing?

      For example, if a client goes in and changes the Title aliases, it doesn't break all of the internal links on other pages that point to the old URL... or if they go in to optimize their site and update all the image file names, it doesn't break images on other pages.

      Thoughts or suggestions?

    • The other thing I was thinking you could do was when creating internal links, link them to menu items? That way when the menu item changes, the internal link should change too.

      I've not ever done it that way, that's just what I was thinking might work. The problem is that this site has 169 main menu items and 173 articles.... so that could take some time of changing how all the internal links are.
