SOLVED: Flash Intro

    • While I can do without Flash Intros, but we have a site where the owners are adamant about adding it. Are there instructions out there on HOW to add one of these intros to a Joomla-based RocketTheme template?

    • Are you talking about a splash page, or including the Flash in a Module position in the template?
    • Thanks,

      Thanks in advance!

    • Whoa!

Pretty fancy sites / landing pages.

(A little more than what I imagined you had in mind.)

The first one is straight flash, as far as I can see that’s the whole site, no CMS involved.

The second one (after the loooong intro :D ) does link to the main site, a CMS, but not Joomla.

If you already have the flash intro, just an intro and you want to link it to a CMS homepage after the intro, that is fairly simple.

I don’t know what you are looking for in the end, but if it’s the first site, it’s going to take a lot of work and a little compromise if you plan to have a Joomla template to look and function like that. I.e., if you don’t have the flash already, you could use a slider or rotator component. Otherwise, unless you are a ‘Flash ninja’, it’s gonna cost a few buck for someone to do it for you.

      There are some ideas here.

    • Honestly, I think they take away from the visitor's experience... But, hey this is what they want...

What I'd like to do is use a RocketTheme template and attach the splash page intro to the beginning... I am not building that, it is something that their designer is handing over to me... I just want to give guidance on what they should be delivering and how I can marry the two elements...

I will take a look at the link you sent also!

      Thank you!

    • Then the suggestions and links I provided should be sufficient to get them started.

      Best of luck. :D
    • Thanks,
