I'm currently using the Replicant 2 template and VirtueMart as the eCommerce portion of my website. When the time is right, I'm looking to upgrade to Joomla 1.6 and change my template. Right now, I'm not seeing signs(?) that VirtueMart will have an update that is compatible with Joomla 1.6. Is anyone using an eCommerce module that they would recommend? Know of one that is coming out soon that seems promising?

I wouldn't recommend to run Joomla 1.6 directly on launch.
It comes with a long range of bugs. Just like joomla 1.5 did when it came.
Joomla 1.5 where stable in around 1.5.07 or something
So wait to run 1.6 for a while, atleast on a ecommerce website.

- That's why I indicated that I'd be doing the actual switch-over "when the time is right". I'd like to get started on a local test site with 1.6 (upon release) and a new template. What I hadn't decided on was what to use for the eCommerce portion of the site.
