If you're thinking about using Joomla! 1.6 then I would think very carefully before you go to all the trouble of installing it. I installed it a few days ago on a website and I am less than impressed. In all fairness the back end looks pretty good, I wouldn't say it's that much more user-friendly than 1.5, but it's quite nice. However, the default templates are absolute rubbish and it seems that extensions that will work are far and few between, they install perfectly okay, but they completely put your site off-line until you uninstall them again.
I just set up a website especially for AdSense and I cannot get it to work, as soon as I click save, the AdSense is stripped out. I am so annoyed and disappointed and I'm not sure what to do now. - http://www.Oscarfishlover.com - the website for great Oscar Fish advice and help

Have you checked that your editor doesn't strip out HTML code? Also you should check the filtering options for the users. I'm not sure if this is the issue though
