When you say that someone got your site password, do you mean your Joomla password or your web hosting server password?
If it was Joomla, then you will just have to use a different password, if it was the server you may have to do a little more work.
What do you want for a banner and how is it to fit in the Bentobox template? An example would be helpful.
As the astute David has pointed out, this is a hard lesson to learn that making backups is CRITICAL.
Backup everything on your server and your database(s). Make this a regular habit, as long as you have high speed internet it doesn't take too long.
For Joomla security, a good place to start would be
here

I'm very sorry for you. Now you can and must start a new project, more secure and beautiful for you and your users.
I can recommend you JoomlaCloner at
www.joomlaplug.com
It's a paid component ($49/year) and you can install on how many sites as you want. It's a low price for cron backup (daily, weekly, monthly). I know there is another free component to do this job but I'm using joomlacloner since january to prevent accident or hacking and I'm very satisfied.
Have you informed your web host of the hack? They will have to change your password I would think.
If you have nothing of value on your server space, I'd wipe it clean and start fresh.
Cheers!

Definantly contact your webhost! I believe your host, as it is similar to mine, uses daily backups so as soon as you a get a new password, you should be able to get everything back.
