    • Hi,

      This is not related to Lime Media Design in any way, i am just in need of some advice.

      Now i don't like to moan, but then i also don't like to be accused of doing something i haven't done.

      Last night VPS Unlimited shut down my VPS for apparently spamming which is impossible for 2 reasons.

      1. i have been away over the Easter weekend, and i haven't been working nor interested in my VPS at all.

      2. the ip thats been reported is my secondary ip which is not configured on the VPS, 1. because Kloxo doesn't allow sites to run off a secondary ip (it has the be the main one for several reasons)
      2. it was only ever used as a ns2 ip

      I have contacted them, with no reply so i thought i would come here and see if i can get any advice with what to do?

    • I have just re-read over the email i was sent, and the spamming report was submitted on the 6th April 2011, so it couldn't have been me as i didn't open my account with them until 19th April.

      I am lost for words, as to how they could have cancelled my account for something that happened before i was even a customer

    • Sounds like you need a better host. :shock:

      In case anyone else gets spamming issues please be aware that older versions of Virtuemart's Tell a Friend have become a target for spammers as they can add a full list of recipients and any text they like in the message box.

    • I signed up to this host on both good reviews and a great offer, but this is a mistake that if i can notice then surely they could have noticed it before they suspended my account.

    • just an update to the situation:

      Good news

      VPS Unlimited switched my vps back on, and refunded my first months payment, shame it happened in the first place.

      It turns out to be a automatic suspension system.

      All good in the end
