I fear that he may have gotten sucked into the Second Life virtual vortex and is surrounded by nubile young vixens and unable to return to RTTTC where he belongs as we speak! Poor Dave G!!
We must band together to save our mate from this tragedy!
On a more serious note... I MISS YOU DAVE G!!
That is all.
Cheers!

Great to see you at RT again! You are a great member here and we miss you for sure!
Well, after all your important work, we will be happy to see you regularly on the forum again!
MAN! I must be Gellin' - because my eyes are wellin' from all the great posts. It feels good to be somebody - of course I've not figured out who, but I sure am toughed by the 'I miss you, Daves' that there are.
I just wanted to pop on here and let you know that YES, I've been sucked into the Second Life vortex and have been running from island to island trying to get away from some crazy folks on a Cannibal roll playing island who are bent on catching me and serving me up - plus, the tax collectors are after me!
Of course there are lot's of incredible babes who, when you get too close to them they turn hollow - no guts, just glitter! I've got several of them after me to do me some serious damage, because it's too easy to make promises in the virtual world - but the chicks hold you to them (I think they are chicks)! There's a dragon girl, a werewolf girl and a fairy - and tons of sex pots. They all have powers that I don't want to tangle with! Help is needed!
I have been on the road a lot with work and have been doing a lot of research and planning for my company's entry into Second Life. I don't want it to end up as just another empty edifice to the corporate name, but I want them to be a good corporate citizen, to encourage community in Second Life. To me, the show is all about the residents of Second Life, not about throwing up a shingle and saying, "Buy our stuff, because we are us!" That's lame and to use an 'anti-quote' from the movie FIELD OF DREAMS, "Build it and they will NOT come." Nobody wants to be marketed or advertised to. Most came to Second Life to get away from that! Darned if I'm going to suggest that my company do the same.
Thanks for all you dear posts. Yes, it was around tax time that you last heard from me, but I assure you that the taxes got paid. I've just be so incredibly busy and immersed into Second Life, trying to learn as much as possible of that 3D environment.
My crazy prophesy about a 3D template is not too far off the mark. (Andy, you may want to check into this)... If Linden Labs (creators of Second Life -it's now Open Source) has it's way, the web of the future will look more like a 3D environment that an avatar (representing you) will explore. It may take a little doing, but I do believe that things are moving that way. Web 2.0 is quickly becoming 3.0 and on it way to 4.0. Just a little heads up... But in the meantime, RT has the solution that the web needs and I ALWAYS take the opportunity to be a RT/Joomla evangelist and get the word out.
I'll not be around often in the short run, but things are beginning to level out and you will see more of zany ole me than before. I'l post, from time to time, the exciting things that I'll found and been a part of in the virtual world. As things become even more relaxed, I hope to pick up Part 2 of ANDY TO THE RESCUE and continue maybe incorporate many of the new folks that are wondering, "What's the big deal about Dave Gee!"
At this time, I'm helping a friend and his wife who several year ago start a alcohol and drug treatment facility for women. They have had a website, but have asked me to help them get started with something more substantial. I and installing Joomla 1.0.12 and using the Colormatic RT templte. I'm hosting it with Rochen - have been having a few permission issues, but those should be squared away soon. They really need something that can be updated regularly without creating a new HTML page everytime.
I miss you folks too and all the insane ramblings that I waste your time with. Stay cool and and as AHnold said, "I'll be Bach!" You can be any composer that you like!
