Some other gentleman posted up in another forum a topic titled "Why we friggin' rock" and I can't agree with him more. I just wanted to take a second, before hopefully putting my website and RocketTheme away for a couple of days, to reach out and thank the people that build, test, support and generally labor on behalf of us RocketTheme subscribers.
Andy Miller: Obviously without you I wouldn't have cause to be here. I've noticed from reading through the forums of early last year that you used to spend more time in here mingling with us mortals. The reason, as far as I'm concerned, must be that you are now spending all your time writing groundbreaking templates and niftly-slick modules/components for us and I'm perfectly OK with that. When I paid for my membership, I was doing it because I really loved the BentoBox template and I had to have it. What I've gotten on top of that though, is a better education in modern website development and design than any class I've attended or book I've read on the topic since first trying to comprehend SGML in 1995. Your work, your forums and your company are responsible for that and I can't thank you enough. This place actively encourages me to participate in the Member Submissions, which is something I never, never expected and am excited to be able to do.
James S: Seriously... when do you sleep? I've heard tell that you are actually living on an island in the North Atlantic, but that's no excuse man... you are posting at ALL hours. Your solutions are to web development and CSS troubleshooting what "Ok, is your mouse plugged in" is to helpdesk support. My first posting in the BentoBox forum was a knuckleheaded mistake on my part, that I think was asked about 15 times before, but you didn't slam me and I appreciate that. (even if you did call my Bentomatic implementation an abomination! It's not... it's merely unclean... Unclean... UNCLEAN!!!!!) I have no idea what this whole muffin thing is about... I'm entirely sure it's origin is entirely unsavory... but if you're ever out this way... I'll bake up some Blueberry ones for you special. You are precisely what is missing from the Joomla.org forums and we are very lucky to have you.
Daniel Chapman: Your work made me unsatisfied with my own. The graphical theme integration of your site made me want to improve what I had done. As much as anything else here, the first post of yours I saw with a link to Ninjoomla put my initial efforts to shame and I can't thank you enough for that.
Other Global Mods and Lifers: I have not had as much direct interaction with you guys, probably because JamesS poaches all the easy questions. When I run across a problem or bug on my site, 99% of the time the quick answer is in the forums and I run across the names "GollumX", "Mike VanKirk", et al, all the time. I really appreciate the time and effort you all take to contribute and help us peasants along on our way.
All Other Behind-The-Scenes Rocketeers: Whatever it is that you guys do, if it's help write/test the templates, make coffee in the morning, do the accounting... whatever, I am grateful for the work that you do to keep this Rocket flying. Thank you!
