    • This is the list of all the module positions that Joomla! will load. These appear in the module positions list in the Module Manager.

      You can add your own in here if you have a template which loads a non-default position such as the position "bob".

    • The templates have an array of module positions such as advert1, top etc...

      These appear in the Module Positions list when assigning a module. The list is generated from the section you described.

      For example, if, instead of advert1, RT decided to have a position called logo which is not part of the Joomla! default list of module positions, you would have to add it in to yourself into Joomla!

      so does any of the latest Templates have these modules that we have to add our selves i.e. DarkMatter,elemental, VIII?

    • Rocket Theme templates do not require you to add your own module positions to make them work.

      However, you can add your own if necessary.
