Product catalogue - customisable product specs and search

Just wondering if anyone has any experience using a Joomla product catalogue with customisable product specifications.
I need to set up a catalogue with different searchable product specifications for different types of products.
Example Product
Material: plastic
Location: outdoor
Use: fun
eg. options
1. Material - timber, plastic, aluminium
2. Location - indoor, outdoor
3. Use - educational, fun, disability
These specs need to be searchable, so that the user can specify in search. eg. timber + outdoor + educational
and the catalogue will display products to the user with these specs only.
I also need the product page to allow brochure download, additional photos etc.
I had a quick look through the Zoo Product Catalogue but hard to tell whether it will do the job.
If anyone has had any experience with a Joomla extension which will suit this type of application, I'd love to hear about your experience.
