ok chaps i know this is going to be so stupid that i'll kick myself but i just dont know it ..
i've got a site at mysite.com and i've installed joomla at mysite.com/newsite
everything is fine at mysite.com and i'm using the standard joomla sef url's
now on the mysite.com/newsite when i click on a link that isn't using sef ur's all is fine but when i turn on the sef url's when i click on a link e.g. mysite.com/newsite/content/view/428/92/ it takes me to mysite.com/content/view/428/92/
what am i doing wrong? anyone know ...... - www.c3p0.se - sweden

hi damo,
sounds like a problem with your .htaccess file. look for rewritebase and add /newsite or something like that. - Say no to Internet Explorer 6.

bugger. never thought it could be the .htaccess file ... and i even changed it too
i'm not very good with .htaccess so if any one knows hwo to do this pleas epost away ..
otherwise, i'm off searching ..

ok. got it ... just did as suggested and it worked.
