    Forum in a wrapper.

Posted 17 years 4 months ago
    • Alright guys,

Im doing a corporation website for Eve-online, so i have forums on the site that are within a wrapper.

I have noticed that when you log in to the forum it makes the forum page jump out of the website wrapper. If your logged in and revisit my website the forum works perfectly well.

Is there a work around for this?

      ---
      Forum is phpBB

      Cheers
      William

    • This is just a "problem" with the wrapper. SMF does not have this problem when using a bridge :)

I moved on from phpbb a while ago so never searched for a solution for it.

I would post in the appropriate bridge section in the Joomla! forums and at phpbb.

There is a solution for SMF on their forums but I am sure that will not suit phpbb but happy searching :)

    • I think phpbb uses a redirect after login. Look at your phpbb config.php (or equivalent file) and see if the redirect can be changed to your wrapped forums url. That should solve your problem.

    • Also, if you open the links for the post in a new window/tab, it goes out of the wrapper.

    • SMF have bridges such as the one from www.joomlahacks.com which gets rid of this issue :)
