Full public release of Safari (non-beta)

Posted 17 years 9 months ago
    • The full public (non-beta) release of Safari just came out today I believe. I have already downloaded and installed it and BOY! what an improvement!

Runs perfectly now.. at times is faster than FF.

      Latest version is 3.0.2

This doesn't appear to be updated on their website, but I ran the update today and got it instantly.

    • After further reading... 3.0.2 is still beta but they have made so many improvements over last version. The "about safari" sub-selection under the Help tab no longer says beta...

    • I ran the apple updater and bam......new safari ;D

I think its an awesome browser, FF is still my browser of choice, mainly due to the extensions.

    • I bet Safari will allow plug-ins and extensions later. I hope they have a good web-developer extension.

I have dev tools for FF, IE7, Safari and Opera

FF has firebug, best of the bunch

      IE dev tool sucks

      Safari crashes windows

Opera is worse than the IE dev tool

So, the ideal situation is firebug for all platforms :)

    • I'm not installing anything extra on Safari until it is out of beta...
