Search 'GoDaddy' on this forum (or on Google) and you will see 100+ threads (1000s of hits on Google) about not being able to install or configure templates because of outdated versions of php, cURL not enabled, ini memory limit being too low, etc., etc...
There are so many threads here that are more that 20 post long (3-4 days of mods helping), trying to get stuff configured, and in the end, most people switch hosts, then post back, 'I just switched to 'XX' host and the template worked perfectly in under five minutes'.
GoDaddy is a host for the masses, not for templates or CMSs that require more under the hood.
Basically, my point is get good hosting and take all the troubleshooting and begging a host to help get you up and running out of the equation, and start creating your site on whatever platform you choose.
